President & Chief Executive Officer
Mike Reeves co-founded Rubicon in 2015. He is focused on leading organic and acquisition-driven growth, building an extraordinary, high-integrity team and delivering superior value for customers, employees and investors.
He is a high-energy, entrepreneurial executive with over 20 years of domestic and international leadership experience within the public and private upstream oilfield product and service organization. After graduating from Imperial College London with an engineering degree in 1994, Mike started his oilfield career as a wellsite MWD/LWD/DD engineer.
The first 16 years of his career were split between Schlumberger and NOV, leading progressively larger businesses while living and working in the Middle East, Europe and North America. In the years since, Mike has led various private equity-backed businesses, including serving as the CEO of XACT Downhole Telemetry and Varel International Energy Services and is a member of the PESA Advisory Board. Mike is married, lives in Houston and is an avid runner and triathlete.
Chief Financial Officer
Tom Holloway is the Chief Financial Officer of Rubicon. As a member of the executive management team, he guides all financial and accounting functions within the company.
As a proven finance and business leader, Tom has demonstrated success at companies of various sizes and stages of their life cycle. He has provided leadership through multiple acquisition and growth initiatives while also guiding integration and capital market transactions. Tom spent a significant portion of his career in oilfield services at Forum Energy Technologies (“Forum”) and Nabors International serving in various leadership roles across the entire business. He held global responsibilities in these roles while also helping lead Forum through IPO preparations. He has led organizations in both privately and publicly held companies.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston and is an active CPA with memberships in local and national CPA organizations. He is married with four children and loves spending time with his family.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Sue Kean is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Rubicon. As a member of the executive management team of Rubicon, she leads the Legal and Ethics & Compliance functions at Rubicon. Sue has served in legal executive roles, both as general counsel and chief compliance officer, in four public companies and has more than 30 years legal and compliance experience advising both private and public multi-national corporations in the energy service, EPC, manufacturing, and marine industries.
Over her career, she has led several significant acquisition integration projects and is a key leader at Rubicon in the corporate integration initiatives. Sue is an ardent believer in the importance of corporate culture and is highly focused on continuing to build upon the strong culture of ethics and compliance at Rubicon.
She is the current co-chair of United Way Women’s Initiative and has served on United Way Campaign Leadership teams for the last six years. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the San Jacinto Girl Scout Council.
Sue has a degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She is married with two daughters and one grandson. She has a passion for art and design and is an avid travel enthusiast.
Vice President, Human Resources
Cory Roclawski leads the development of Rubicon’s people strategy as well as building organizational capability and employee culture to further enable Rubicon’s growth.
Cory has 15 years’ experience in human resources and organizational development. Much of her career was spent with Precision Castparts Corporation, serving in various roles. Cory also led the human resources team for global manufacturing and worked in an executive compensation role at Exterran Corporation. She joined Rubicon in May of 2016.
Cory holds a BSBA degree from Miami University and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. Cory also has her Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) certifications.
Cory is married with two children.
Vice President, Engineering & Technology
Benoit Deschamps is the Vice President, Engineering & Technology and leads Rubicon’s engineering strategy and global technology footprint.
Benoit is a performance-driven executive with responsibility for research & development, sustaining engineering and well solutions engineering aligning product development with the commercial objectives of the organization. Benoit joined Diamant Drilling Services in 2005 as a Project Manager for drill bits specializing in micro-coring, and joined Rubicon in 2016 through the acquisition of Tercel Oilfield Products where he was Global Applications Engineering Manager.
Benoit is a professional and accomplished communicator with a motivational management style, and a reputation for promoting internal and external relationships-both by instilling customer confidence and building highly effective cross-disciplinary teams in the domestic and international markets.
Benoit gained a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Sciences in Mining Engineering (Grande Distinction) from Faculte Polytechnique de Mons in Belgium. He and his wife have two daughters.
Senior Vice President, North America
Hector Sanchez is the Senior Vice President for North America
Hector leads the strategic planning, development, and operations for Rubicon’s growing North America business. His team brings a make-it-happen culture to serve a dynamic and fast-paced market that demands rapid technology growth, reliability, cost efficiency, and results. He meets the daily challenges with an intense focus on expertise in every function and an extreme focus on the customer.
Hector began his career with National Oilwell Varco (NOV) in 2004. Prior to joining Rubicon, he was Area Manager for Mexico and Central America, District Manager for the Gulf Coast, Director of Sales for North America and VP of Sales and Operations for North America. Hector is married with two children and holds a BSC in Mechanical Engineering from University of Houston.
Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere
Ross Hyland is the Vice President for Eastern Hemisphere
Ross leads the strategic planning, development, and operations for Rubicon’s growing business in Europe, Africa, Caspian, Middle East and Asia. His large culturally diverse client base and large geographical region presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate the strengths of the Rubicon mission and vision. Working with strategic partners who share our guiding principles, customer focus, and intense focus on expertise helps ensure that Ross’ team succeeds in meeting our customers’ key drilling and completion objectives.
Ross began his career with Andergauge in 1997. Prior to joining Rubicon, he was Applications Manager, Operations Manager and Regional Manager at NOV for the UK, Europe, Africa and Caspian Regions. Ross is married with two children and holds a BSC Eng in Engineering from Aberdeen University.
Vice President, Latin America
Martin Perez is Vice President for Latin America
Martin leads Operations and Sales for Rubicon´s fast-growing Latin America (LATAM) market. His holistic approach is to develop high-performing, autonomous teams within an ethical and fair-play environment.
Martin has built a 15-year plus career in sales, operations, and human resources, spending some of his professional life serving in leadership roles at Varel International Energy Services, Downhole Products, and a variety of positions within Rubicon. He also provided consultancy services at Smith International. Martin has participated in multiple M&A, farm-ins and restructuring commercial processes in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and Mexico.
Martin holds a Bachelor´s Degree in International Relations and a Ph.D. in Political Science (UB, Buenos Aires, Argentina). He is married with one daughter, his sheer inspiration.
